Concave is not just a single depth number. Pay attention to how the cross-section develops, where the pocket begins and how smoothly the surface transitions.

Treat nose and tail as geometry

Kick angle, kick length, dip location and transition shape all change the way a deck feels. Small adjustments can be easier to understand when you compare them visually instead of relying on names like mellow or steep.

Export only after you inspect

Before using a design for tooling, inspect centerlines, transitions, alignment features and the complete surface. A digital design should be reviewed like a physical mold before you commit material and machine time.

What to document in your own build

Take wide photos of the setup and close-ups of the details. Record the veneer, adhesive, timing, mold and anything you changed. Good notes turn one successful deck into a process you can repeat.
